On a fast-running packaging or print line, compressed air is involved in almost every stage — actuating grippers, conveying sheet stock, blowing open cartons, controlling tension on web-fed machines. A pressure drop or contamination event doesn’t just slow things down; it can stop the line entirely and cause quality rejects that cost more than the machine downtime.

Air quality in print and packaging — why it matters

Modern high-speed presses and packaging machinery have tight tolerances. Wet air causes machine faults, sticking and corrosion. Oily air damages print heads, contaminates product surfaces and causes packaging film to fail to seal properly.
